Recognized for world class music venues and a variety of arts, entertainment, shopping, and dining opportunities, the East Loop Community Improvement District (DBA the Delmar Loop)  serves as a renowned walkable community that is welcoming, diverse, and inclusive of minority, immigrant, and women-owned businesses.

Mission

​

Through strong, vision-driven leadership and management, deliver measurable improvements to the East Loop Community Improvement District in the areas of economic development, safety, and security by establishing a welcoming and secure community with enhanced services, amenities, and physical improvements, while promoting and preserving the area’s distinct character and cultural vitality.



History

 

The East Loop Community Improvement District was established in May 2016. â€‹Funds are generated through an assessment on all real property in the district. The revenues generated from the assessment are used for three specific areas: Economic Development, Safety and Maintenance, and Administration.

To provide strong outcome focused management and governance, effective collaboration and engagement with area stakeholders, efficient use of resources, and organizational sustainability.

Economic Development
 

To develop and maintain thriving business district, with an increasing level of investment and economic activity, high quality venues and events, including a

vibrant mix of women, minority, and immigrant owned businesses.

tenance

To ensure a well maintained environment that is safe, clean, and inviting which fosters a favorable reputation and appeal.

Our Focus

District Boundaries

The East Loop CID eastern boundary is DeBaliviere on the south side of Delmar and Laurel on the north side of Delmar.  The western boundaries are Eastgate and Limit at the St. Louis Louis City Limit.  The district also includes Washington University’s north campus on Skinker.
